Update 08/11: Mr Lavelle has since been arrested by Lancashire Police on two counts of burglary.

A convicted robber and burglar with strong links to Ribbleton is on the run from Police.

50 year old James Lavelle was released from prison on licence in September but has breached his licence.

Police also want to speak to him in relation to a number of burglaries in the Carnforth area earlier this week.

Lavelle is white, around 5’8″, slight build with fair complexion and brown eyes. He has tattoos on both arms.

Detective Inspector Martin Pearson said: “We would ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police – any details could be crucial.”
