A nature reserve in the east of the city has won a regional tourism award.
Brockholes nature reserve on Preston New Road, Fishwick opened in the Spring and has now been awarded for its popularity with locals and tourists.
The judges at the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards voted for the 250-acre reserve to win the Best Marketing Campaign category.
It marked a successful week for the reserve which was also recognised for its sustainable visitor centre.
The centre has been recognised by Royal Institure of British Architects and the timber used was also the winner of the Commercial & Public Access category at the 2011 Wood Awards.
