Businesses across Preston are being invited to apply to take part in the 2012 Guild trade procession.

150 companies will be allowed to take part in the parade, up from 123 firms in 1992.

Chair of the trades procession steering committee, Ken Williams, said: “The trades procession is the business highlight of the Guild celebrations.

“With the whole of Preston watching, we are sure local businesses will be eager to display their float creations and benefit from this unique opportunity to support Preston and advertise their business at the same time.”

The trades procession takes place on Saturday 1st September 2012 following the Third Proclamation and marks the start of the main week of events.

Early bird discounts are available for any business registering before 30th September this year.

Registration is available on the Preston Guild website
