Preston North End need to beat Sheffield United at Deepdale if they are to have any chance of staying up.
Although PNE have got used to big games recently this one could make or break their season. Win and North End could be just four points off safety, lose and they’ll be playing in League One next season.
Phil Brown isn’t likely to make any changes to the side that drew with Doncaster as Sean St. Ledger, Leon Cort and David Gray are still out injured.
The Lilywhites will be encouraged by Sheffield United’s position in the table. The Blades are bottom of the Championship and they have won just two of their 19 games under Micky Adams.
Daniel Bogdanovic, Ched Evans and former PNE man Richard Cresswell are all likely to miss the game leaving United short of numbers up front.
But even though Sheffield United have been poor of late they are bound to be up for this game and both sides will be going all out for the win.
Last time the two sides met back in August the Blades ran out 1-0 winners. If they win this one it will be the first time they have done the double over PNE in 55 years.
Two seasons ago these sides met in the playoff semi finals. Although that match was for a place in the Wembley final there will be no less passion on display this time.
