The team behind the successful Tales from the Blackjack are returning to Preston after having gained acclaim across the the UK.
Thunder Road Theatre will perform their take on Jekyll & Hyde this June, before also making an appearance at this year’s Tringe. Featuring MEN Award winner Alex Moran and Christopher Ward, ‘Hyde’ promises to be a physical blend of high energy and contemporary storytelling.
Alex Moran said: “We were really pleased with the reception we got for Blackjack, we took it to the Buxton Fringe where I won best actor and the show won best production, which was great!’
‘Hyde is slightly different, in that it isn’t a solo show. I worry about getting typecast, so I like to be able to do a solo show, an ensemble piece and also a two-hander like Hyde’
The original production is set in 19th century Edinburgh, and sees Dr Jekyll returns to ‘Auld Reekie’, a respectable physician, while his old friend Utterson can’t help suspect that something is amiss in the Jekyll house.
Fresh from success at the MEN awards, this young theatre company is bound to be in demand when they return to Preston, so you can reserve your ticket here.
