Last year's Christmas lights on the Flag Market

X Factor rejects Treyc Cohen and Belle Amie will lead the acts that will help light up Preston for this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On, tomorrow evening.

Aiden Grimshaw, who was voted off the X Factor on Sunday, was set to be making an appearance but an ‘administrative error’ from his agents caused him to cancel at the last minute.

Mark Whittle, spokesperson for BID Preston, said: “We are naturally disappointed that Aiden has been withdrawn from the line up at the eleventh hour but this was entirely out of our control.

“We have worked extremely hard to secure an additional two brilliant acts which will add even more great performers to an already enviable bill. We hope to add more artists to the 12 already confirmed within the next twenty-four hours”.

The show will start at 2.00pm and continue into the early evening when the famous “switch is flicked”.

Other acts on the bill include Preston girl-band P5 and Louis Walsh’s newly-formed Wonderland.

Full list of acts:

  • Treyc Cohen
