1. The Sexes at The Continental – As part of the theatre season at The Continental, The Off-Off-Off Broadway theatre company present a single act play that focuses on the tempestuous relationship between two married actors. It starts at 8pm tonight and entry is £7 (£5 for concessions). Tickets can be purchased either from The Continental on 01772 499425 or from Preston Tourist Information. Having premiered at the Brighton Festival Fringe in May, the show subsequently moved to Buxton Fringe before coming to Preston, and promises to be an intriguing blend of theatre and video coupled with unique writing.
2. Jaleo Flamenco at Preston Guild Hall – Spice up your Saturday evening with the passion, energetic and sensuous dancing of Jaleo Flamenco. A combination of singing, dancing and typically adept Hispanic guitar playing, it promises to be an evening that will shake the Charter Theatre to the rafters. Jaleo Flamenco have had a myriad of experiences since they were formed over 20 years ago including TV and radio appearances, workshops and stage performances. The show starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are £16.
3. A Vintage Affair at Fives, Guildhall Street – Missing that vintage coat you sold years ago? Want a unique piece of clothing with a retro twist? This Saturday afternoon head to Fives, where £1 will grant you entry to 25 stalls heaving with vintage clothing and accessories.
