Glastonferret 2010

Couldn’t get tickets for Glastonbury? Can’t be bothered trying to find your tent after ten hours of bands and a vat full of ale? Gotta get up with the kids in the morning? Picked up a flyer for this year’s Glastonferret this morning and looks like it could top the fun of last year’s madcap event at Preston’s Mad Ferret.

Glastonferret’s Myspace page says

” Take one little venue in Preston, Lancashire and add one tonne of turf, tenting, terrible barbeques, wristbands, stupid hats and real scrumpy and that’s what you have.

Sound slightly stupid? It is. But last years was still the best time that most people who went ever had at a festival and it was all INSIDE A PUB.

Due to a personal request from Mr Eavis himself, we will be moving GlastonFerret from it’s traditional tenure over the Glastonbury weekend to the weekend before, the 19th and 20th June. Apparently Michael’s worried we’re affecting the attendances of Glastonbury…”

The line up at the moment is…

Saturday 19th June

Sound of Guns, Underdogs, Onions, Bootscraper, Three Dimesional Tanx, Stan’s Magic Foot, My First Tooth, Vox Population, Johnny5thWheel&thecowards, Ottersgear, The Bear Around Your Neck, Ignition UK

Sunday 20th June

Tim and Sam’s Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam, notnowkato, Elephants on Acid, Pete Bentham & The Dinnerladies, Dirtblonde, Beat the Radar, The Fifty 50’s, S.R. Gents, Boss Mosquito, One English Pound, Pinto Beans

Mad ferret, 55 Fylde Road, Preston. PR1 2XQ Glastonferret Admission – Weekend/Day = £5/£3
