Another new comedy night is coming to Preston, with the Jester Society bringing new comedians to the Playhouse.
Paul Tonkinson, who has featured on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, will host the evening. Two names joining him on the bill are award-winning John Archer, who has been recommended by Derren Brown and supported Tim Vine on his UK tours. Alongside Archer will be comedy-magician Pete Firman (pictured), who has performed on ITV1’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ and appeared in Channel 4’s ‘The Convention Crasher’.
The Jester Society have promised if the night goes well that it could regularly see top comedians such as Mark Watson, Greg Davies (Inbetweeners), Rhod Gilbert, Tim Vine, Sarah Millican, Phil Nichol and Trevor Lock coming to Preston.
Tickets are £10 (£8 students) and available from Ticketline or by emailing TheJesterSociety@googlemail.com
Preston has seen an increase in comedy nights over the last few months as The Frog & Bucket opened in the city centre, The Laughter Rume started at Rumes, The New Continental launched their Comedy Lounge and 53 Degrees’ Stand & Deliver celebrates 10 years in business.
