Preston Police are at Haslam Park where a body was found in a pond

A man’s body has been recovered from Haslam Park by Preston Police.

Police were called to the scene after the body was discovered in a pond at around 5.30am this morning (Monday 9 July).

Formal identification is yet to take place, however police state that he is believed to be in his 30’s.

His death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

Police remain at the scene where a large section of the park has been cordoned off.

Preston Police are at Haslam Park where a body was found in a pond

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “At around 5.30am today (Monday 9 July) the body of a man in his 30’s was found in a pond at Haslam Park in Preston.

“Police are currently at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
