Motorcyclist dies in hospital after Leyland crash

South Ribble Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in Leyland on Tuesday evening.

A 49-year-old man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital following a collision between a Mini and a Suzuki bike.

It took place at around 8.40pm in Dunkirk Lane close to the junction of Orchards.

Sergeant Lee Harris said: “Firstly my thoughts are with the motorcyclist’s family at this incredibly sad and difficult time. They are being supported by specially trained officers.

“If you saw anything that you think could assist with our investigation, please get in touch with us.”
