Police have tonight arrested a pensioner after a murder inquiry was launched.
AdvertisementBernadette Green, 88, died at her home in Inkerman Street, Ashton-on-Ribble, on Friday 18 May.
Preston Police say her death was not initially thought to be suspicious.

Following a Home Office post mortem on Wednesday (6 June) detectives launched a murder investigation.
The post mortem showed Mrs Green died as a result of suffocation.
A 65-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
DCI Geoff Hurst, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Force Major Investigations Team, said: “As the result of our inquiries we have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
“He remains in police custody and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident at this stage.
