Man and woman in hospital after Ripon Street attack

A man and woman are both in hospital and under arrest after an attack in the Plungington area.
AdvertisementPreston Police attended reports of an assault in Ripon Street around 10.30am.
The incident on Monday (18 June) was also attended by the North West Ambulance Service.
A 64-year-old man has a suspected head injury and was arrested on suspicion of assault and affray.
Police said a 60-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assault.
She has a suspected head injury and a laceration to her neck.
She is also in hospital.

A police spokesman said they were treating it as an isolated incident.
