New tapas bar planned in Preston city centre as restaurant sees another name change

A restaurant in Preston city centre is set for another name change.

What was Coffee Bar Culture in St Wilfrid Street announced it was changing in February this year to become Culture Tapas Bar.

Now it’s closed and undergoing a refurb to become Fino – a new Spanish tapas bar.

The owner of We Don’t Give A Fork, which has a growing reputation of its burger, has taken on the restaurant.

Mark O’Rourke said: “We Don’t Give A Fork has taken the premises on a new lease and will be opening a tapas restaurant called Fino.

“It is going to be a modern Spanish tapas restaurant, using fresh, local and Spanish ingredients, Spanish wines and beers served in a modern unpretentious atmosphere.”

The building down the side-street off Fishergate has been Blue Bayou Jazz and Oyster bar and before this was the Korova coffee, bar and venue for a number of years.

Its former operator Andrew Sumner decided to not to renew the lease.
