Who can resist nipping into the local pub to spend a lazy afternoon sipping an ice-cool beverage in the summer sun?

With the sun shining down, you may be wondering where the best places to visit are.

Here at Blog Preston, we’ve come up with a list of our favourite beer gardens in the city to enjoy a tasty pint – and the old list still stands too.

The Plungington Hotel

An impressive garden will see guests able to enjoy a tasty drink in the bright sunshine, located at 67 Lytham Road.

Deck chairs are regularly provided on the warmer days, helping you to enjoy a truly lazy afternoon in the pleasant surroundings of the Plungington Hotel.

With a gin festival running in the last weekend of July with over 100 gins, this pub really has it all going on.

The Twelve Tellers

A modern beer garden providing fantastic views of the city is definitely worth a visit.

With a wide choice of real ales, this pub is certainly worth a visit.

Situated on Pope Lane, Penwortham, the pub holds immense character dating back to the early 1800’s.

Always a popular one with Prestonians, the Continental is set in the idealistic location close to the banks of the Ribble and a stones throw from Avenham and Miller Park.

You’ll probably see a familiar face or two in here, with it’s popularity proving so strong, you’ll be struggling for a seat in here.
