Body found in search for missing Kirsty Moyles

A body has been found in the search for a Haighton woman missing since early April.

Preston Police said a woman’s body was found in a wooded area at Wolf Fell in the Trough of Bowland.

Kirsty Moyles was last seen leaving her home in Cow Hill, Haighton, on Friday 6 April.

Following an extensive search police said they had discovered the body on Sunday (13 May) and although not formally identified it is thought to be Kirsty’s.

Sergeant James Hesketh said: “Our thoughts remain with Kirsty’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time.

“Kirsty’s family have been notified and a file has been passed to the coroner.

“We would like to thank everyone who has helped to look for Kirsty, or shared our appeals.”

The death is not being treated as suspicious and Kirsty’s family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
