Damage to car after arson on Elijah Street, Fishwick

A Preston woman has spoken of her shock after discovering her partners car set alight in Elijah Street, Fishwick.

Chelsi McGuire, 18, told Blog Preston of how the arson left her feeling “petrified, scared, and upset” following the incident at 2am on Saturday (7 April).

She added in a Facebook post that the fire was ‘absolutely massive and there was smoke everywhere’.

She said: “What they did was horrible. The pictures don’t show the damage it’s done to us emotionally and mentally.

“Every time there’s a noise outside, I jump. The postman posted our mail this morning and I nearly had a panic attack.

“Every time I close my eyes, I see it all again.”

Blog Preston has contacted Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service for further information about the incident.
