A beer festival is taking place at a Penwortham cricket club this May.
AdvertisementDuring the Bank Holiday weekend the Vernon Carus club is holding its first beer festival.
Running From Friday (4 May) to Sunday (6 May) the event will see more than 30 locally sourced beers and ciders on offer.
Live music is also planned as part of the event, at the Factory Lane ground, as well as a gin and prosecco bar.
Of course there will be some cricket on too, with two games on the Saturday (first XI playing Kendal and the fourth XI playing Chorley).

Saturday’s live music comes from Penwortham band the Old School Idles.
On Sunday there’s a 20/20 game between Varnon Carus XI and Penwortham XI.

The festival is free to attend and runs from 6.30pm-11pm on Friday, 2pm-11pm on Saturday and 2pm-11pm on Sunday.
