A Preston bar and nightclub has closed just three months after opening.

Placebo, in Friargate, had opened in mid-December last year in what used to be Macs bar.

Leon Mazzafiore, 49, had taken on the club and revamped its interior – adding a cafe vibe to the club during the day-time.

Placebo has been closed since the weekend and is in the process of being transferred to new owners from its current operating company of LA Leisure Preston Limited.

The team behind Switch Preston, the Besides Friends Group, have confirmed they are taking on the former Placebo building and want to reopen it as a sports bar during the summer.
