How you can see a gig in a Preston space observatory

A Preston band is to perform in a very unusual setting on Sunday.

Cold Bath Street – a 10-piece bound – are taking over the Alston Observatory for a unique gig.

Owned by the University of Central Lancashire the band’s fans will crowd round the telescope.

Band member and senior music lecturer Simon Partridge said: “This is a thank you to everyone that has supported the group but also an amazing opportunity to work in a completely different environment …a stage in space.”

The concert takes place on Sunday (4 March) and the band draw their influences from Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Can and Sun Ra.

Tickets for the show are £10 via Eventbrite and space is extremely limited.
