A charity furniture shop in one of Preston’s main streets is to reopen after a major refurbishment.
AdvertisementThe British Heart Foundation in Friargate has seen a new floor, carpets, painting and a new homewares department.
Store manager Angela Gilkes said volunteers had been working hard on the refit.
She said: “The volunteers we have are amazing and helped out so much.
“A big thank you to Paula, Ros, Steve, Josh, Bernard, Mikey and Ian, without these guys and girl we would never be ready for opening.
“We are still looking for new volunteers so if you think you can help then just call in.”

The shop which stocks second-hand furniture and home furnishings is to reopen on Wednesday (21 March).
A new clearance area has been introduced in the upstairs of the shop.
