Road rage incident saw man smash BMW windows

Police are investigating after a road rage incident in Preston.

Officers were called to Lauderdale Street, in the Broadgate area, around 3pm.

During the incident on Tuesday (20 February) two vehicles collided.

The driver of a Vauxhall Astra got out of his vehicle and chased the driver of a BMW.

He then returned to the car and used a hammer to smash the windows of the BMW.

Both drivers got back in their vehicles and rammed each other.

The Astra then made off at speed.

Police closed the road following the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
