A Preston mini-supermarket was targeted during Sunday afternoon.
AdvertisementClothing, shoes and chocolate were taken from a number of shops in Fishergate.
Police attended the incident, near the junction with Lune Street, and made an arrest outside Sainsbury’s.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft at around 1pm.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing around six police vehicles in attendance.
A police spokesman said this was due to a previous incident, about a concern for safety, which was ongoing in Fishergate but the officers were stood down and were still in the area when the next incident took place.
