A choirmaster that has been singing Preston’s praises it set to perform in the city.
AdvertisementGareth Malone is to bringing his upcoming tour to several locations around Lancashire, including Preston Guild Hall.
Following the success of his 2017 tour, Gareth will be coming to Preston on Wednesday 6 June.
With his family living in Lancashire, the choirmaster says he is delighted to be coming to Preston.
During the tour, Gareth will be joined by The Swingles, the undisputed rulers of British close Harmony, to present songs with dazzling vocal pyrotechnics.

Gareth Malone said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be coming to Preston with The Swingles.
“Making music with these astonishing vocalists is a joy because they have such a range of vocal skills.
“From close harmony to distinctive solos, the Swingles really have it all.
“We’ll be performing some of my favourite songs from over the last ten years of making ‘The Choir’ for BBC2.
“There’ll be many chances to join in with the singing and we’ll be writing a new, original song with the audience at every venue – what could possibly go wrong?”

Gareth will also be joined by exciting guest choirs and singers along the way.
He’ll be showcasing new songs written specially for this tour, alongside well-known classics such as ‘Fields of Gold’, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ and ‘Superstition’.
The evening will include repertoire from his TV series The Choir, with songs as sung by the Invictus choir, Military Wives and the Boys Don’t Sing episode.
The Preston show will commence at 7.30pm.
