The search for a missing Preston man continues into a fourth day.

Michael Brookes, 19, went missing around 2am on Sunday (January 14) morning when in the company of a friend on Avenham Park.

Police were seen yesterday (January 16) near Broadgate undertaking an extensive search with a helicopter and underwater search team.

The search has continued this morning (January 17).

A statement from police said: “Michael Brookes, 19, was last seen at around 2am yesterday morning (Sunday, January 14th) when in the company of a friend on Avenham Park, Preston.

“He has left the park alone and has not been seen since.

“He is described as white, around 5ft 7ins, of slim build with short dark hair. He speaks with a Liverpool accent and was last seen wearing black skinny jeans and a black hooded top with a camouflage pattern at the bottom.
