Ringway delays after crash near Queen Street retail park

A crash on one of Preston’s busiest stretches of roads caused early rush hour congestion.

Around 4pm reports of a crash came in at the Stanley Street junction with the Ringway – near Preston Prison.

The crash was near the Queen Street retail park – where the Costa Coffee is.

Preston Police said a green Mitsubishi Shogun car had been involved in a collision with a cyclist.

The cyclist suffered back injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Preston Bus put out a warning to say there were long delays to its 6 and 19 services, and knock-on impact to any buses using the Ring Way.
