A mothballed plan for housing near the centre of Broughton village is back on the table.
AdvertisementPillar Construction has kick-started plans last approved in 2008.
It would see a a swathe of land off Garstang Road built on in a development known as Park House.
Just south of the Broughton crossroads the land includes a half-built house and would back onto the Broughton and District Club.
A new access road into Garstang Road would be created as part of the development.
30 new homes and the conversion of the existing half-built building into eight apartments have been applied for.
It would have four four-bedroom homes, 26 three-bedroom homes.

A statement from Pillar Construction states: “The site will be made up of family homes which will be in line with the existing properties in the area. It is our intention to deliver a scheme which respects the location of the proposed dwellings within the settlement of Broughton whilst enhancing the local sense of character, the materials used within the design of the development will reflect those of the surrounding area which will also seek to deliver a development of a high quality.”
The same site saw planning permission granted in 2008 for up to 50 homes but work has stalled on the site.
The full plans are available to view on the Preston City Council website and comments can be left there.
