A Preston woman is helping people lose weight by running a Slimming World group in Ingol.

Heather McDade was inspired to help others transform their life after her own weight loss.

Losing an impressive five stone after joining the weight loss organisation, she started running the Ingol Slimming World Group in March this year.

Heather said: “Helping people to lose weight is the best job in the world.

“This really is the best job in the world as far as I’m concerned.

“Having lost weight myself I know what an enormous difference it can make to your life and so being able to help people to change their life like I have really is the most rewarding thing.

“When you walk through those doors for the first time, there is no judgement, no humiliation and no pressure, instead you will be welcomed by our friendly members, offered a brew and given a full explanation of who we are before we invite you to join us.”

Heather runs her group on Tuesday evenings at St Margaret’s Church Hall on Tag Lane, Ingol.

The group runs from 5.30 – 7.30pm.
