The Harris Open – an annual exhibition of artwork by all level of painters, artists and photographers – has been opened.
Running from Saturday (9 December) to 21 January the exhibition is described as ‘fresh and vibrant’.
Hundreds of artists take part each year and are invited to submit one or two of their most recent works to go on display.
Children also take part in the exhibition.

All works entered go on display and many items are also up for sale.
A special preview was held on Friday (8 December) for all those taking part in the Open.
A spokesman for the Harris said: “This year the Harris is particularly keen to see artists using a wider range of ‘art mediums’ to fully showcase the city’s creative talents. From sculpture to paint, 3D work to ceramics, embroidery to photography and film – anything goes!”

It’s free to visit the exhibition during usual Harris opening hours.
