A drive-in cinema is returning to the city in January.

Moonlight Drive-in Cinema Preston has announced it will be returning to Deepdale Shopping Park.

Screenings of famous films on the big screens begin on Thursday 25 January and run until Sunday 28 January.

The screenings are £25 per vehicle and films being shown include Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Notting Hill, Moana, Dirty Dancing, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Tangled, Back to the Future, Moulin Rogue and Pretty Woman.

Screenings see larger vehicles placed towards the back and the sides of the shopping centre car park where the screenings take place.

The last time the drive-in cinema took place in Preston it was marred by criminal damage to the screen.

Fri 26 January, 6.15pm, Moana
Fri 26 January, 8.15pm, Dirty Dancing

Sat 27 January, 6.15pm, Tangled
Sat 27 January, 8.15pm, Back to the Future
Sat 27 January, 10.15pm, Moulin Rogue
Sun 28 January, 6.15pm, Pretty Woman
Sun 28 January, 8.45pm, Notting Hill
