Rogue trader warning issued for Lostock Hall

Police have issued a warning after a man was taken to a cash point by a rogue trader and forced to withdraw money for work that wasn’t complete.

Trading Standards and South Ribble Police are investigating after the incident in Lostock Hall on Tuesday (7 November).

A vulnerable man was taken to a bank by a ‘supposed tradesman’ according to police.

This was to withdraw a large sum of cash for work that had not been carried out.

The bank refused the transaction and contacted police.

The suspects are believed to have targeted a number of addresses in the Linden Drive area of Lostock Hall.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
