Electricity North West worked to restore power in the Hennel Lane area.

The power went off around lunchtime and was not back on until early on Saturday (25 November) morning – around 4.30am.

Around 22 properties were thought to be affected by the power cut and engineers were on site working to fix the issue.

Hennel House in Beechwood Avenue, home to 31 retirement flats, was without power.
