A shop worker was threatened with a knife and another locked in a toilet during an armed robbery at a Penwortham shop.
AdvertisementThree men entered Thoroughgoods in Leyland Road during Sunday (19 November) evening.
One of the men jumped over the counter and threatened a male shop assistant with a knife.
He demanded the till be opened.
A second shop assistant was locked in the toilet and had her phone and purse stolen.
The gang made off with cigarettes and cash during the incident at 9.55pm.

South Ribble Police say they made off in a dark coloured car.
Detective Constable Stuart Lunt, of Chorley CID, said: “This was a nasty robbery which left two members of staff very shaken by their ordeal.
“If you were in the area at that time and saw anything suspicious, please get in touch.”
