A man has been charged with robbery following an armed raid on an off-licence near Preston.
AdvertisementTwo members of staff were working in Bargain Booze in Preston Road, Clayton-le-Woods, when a man entered carrying a knife.
A quantity of cash and cigarettes were taken from the shop.
Lancashire Police have arrested and charged Christopher Leeming, 34, of The Martindales, Clayton-le-Woods with robbery.
An appeal continues to trace a second man wanted in connection with the robbery.
He was waiting outside the shop throughout the robbery and wearing dark clothing and appeared to have a metallic walking stick.
Detective Constable Lynne Farnworth of Chorley Investigations Team said: “We are still appealing for information about the second man and I would urge people to come forward if they can identify him but I would like to thank all those who have assisted so far.”
Leeming is due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Monday (6 November).
