The Mayor of Preston councillor Brian Rollo is hosting the civic welcome for the staff and students.

It will take place at Preston Guild Hall on Monday (20 November) and hundreds of staff and students from the American University of the Caribbean are expected.

The University of Central Lancashire, based in Preston, opened its doors to the students so they could continue their studies following the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma.
