Hundreds turn out for fireworks at Penwortham Pear Tree Park

Hundreds of families turned out to watch the fireworks at Pear Tree Park in Penwortham this evening (November 5).

The display, one of the largest free displays in Lancashire, started at 7.30pm, although the event had been open since 6.30pm for the children’s fun fair. It lasted around 25 mins.

Penwortham Town Council had appealed for those attending to leave their cars at home and walk down and the majority seemed to oblige despite temperatures bordering on freezing level.
