The Games, taking place on 14 – 16 December at the Dorton Arena in North Carolina, features the World Championships for three weight classes – one for men and one for women.

Luke said: “I have been competing in Strongman competitions for five years and this year I won England’s Most Powerful Man Under 105kg and came 3rd place in UKs Strongest Man Under 105kg this year.

“My girlfriend Rhianon is a former world champion power-lifter, who is the best female power-lifter currently in the UK.

“She made the switch to Strongwoman this year and qualified for the World Championships in the Under 64kg women’s class in her second ever Strongwoman competition.

“We do all our training together and are basically looking for sponsorship to help us get there and represent the UK on the world stage.”
