Police arrest man in connection with Penwortham flashing

Police have arrested a man following two alleged flashing incidents in Penwortham.

Patrols were stepped up across South Ribble and in particular around a primary school after a man was seen exposing himself.

The incidents took place in Manor Lane on Monday (9 October) and a second incident shortly after mid-day in Carlisle Avenue on Tuesday (10 October).

South Ribble Police confirmed they had arrested a man, age unknown, on suspicion of indecent exposure.

Police say at this stage they have not confirmed the two incidents are linked.

Whitefield Primary School posted an update on Tuesday evening saying they were warning parents to be extra vigilant after the incident.
