Police closed off a hand car wash and former pub in Fishwick.
AdvertisementShines car wash and the former Shawes Arms pub in London Road had a cordon in place after explosives were discovered on the premises during Monday (30 October).
Preston Police have called in the bomb squad after the discovery.
A spokesman for the police confirmed officers searching the Shawes Arms in London Road found a ‘small quantity of suspected dynamite’.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team has been called in to deal with the find.
The explosives were discovered around 2.20pm on Monday. The incident was not treated as terror related.
Bomb squad entered the pub and are understood to have removed the potential dynamite.
Police say removed the cordon around 5pm.
A spokesman said: “Looks like it was modified explosives, possibly some fireworks.
“They are being removed by the bomb squad and will be disposed of safely.”
The Shawes Arms was bought by Nadeem Sadiq in November 2015 and has remained closed since.
