Driver makes off as car left overturned in Fylde Road

This was the scene in Fylde Road on Saturday morning after a dramatic crash.

Preston Police sealed off the road where it is crossed by the West Coast Main Line.

A black Volkswagen Polo had overturned at around 5.45am on Saturday (14 October).

The driver made off from the scene and police are still searching for him.

The car was recovered around 7.10am with the road re-opening a short time later.

A second crash, involving two cars, took place at the junction of Fylde Road and Tulketh Brow later on the Saturday morning. No major injuries were reported.
