Regulars at The Ferret could be in for a shock when they order their pint this week.
AdvertisementThe bar is currently unable to serve alcoholic drinks due to an issue with their licence.
Live music will from This Dirty Swamp and Pinstripe Pigeon Band will still go ahead on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Tim Davies, general manager at the bar, said: “The Ferret have had a paperwork issue with our licence which has meant that we are unable to sell alcoholic drinks at the moment, except at weekends.
“We would like to apologise to everyone for this issue and are working to get this matter sorted out as soon as we can.
“We are opening the restaurant till 8pm each day. Soft drinks and non-alcoholic drink beers and ciders are available.

“We are also operating a bring your own beer and wine with a small corkage fee per drink.
“We are also running a completion to win 5 sets of weekend tickets to The Continental Beer Festival (2 per winner) for people using the restaurant tonight, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Results to be announced next Tuesday.”
Customers will pay 50p per bottle or can or £1.50 per bottle of wine or similar.
