Preston Bus has been forced to re-route one of its bus services due to ‘bad parking’.
AdvertisementThe 31 service which operates through Savick and Lea has been plagued by being unable to fit down certain roads due to what the firm says is inconsiderate parking.
The route is going back to what it was pre-Monday (4 September).
From the city centre the bus will go into Cottam Lane, serving West Park Avenue, then Ainsdale Drive, Lea Road, Blackpool Road and back to Lane Ends.
West Park Avenue is only being served by the trip from the city centre, and not on the service going into the city centre.
A spokesman for Preston Bus said: “The timetable will remain broadly the same. There may be some unavoidable delays due to the extra distance travelled.
“Apologies for any conflicting messages so far. Barring resolution of the parking issues the above route is expected to be in use for some time.”

The midnight and 1am journeys on the 31 are still running, they don’t operate round the Savick Estate and terminate at Lea Aldfield Avenue.
