Torchlight procession making its way through the city centre
From giant umbrellas to sculptures you could drum a tune one there were some eye-catching parts of the Brief Encounter .

The Flag Market, Harris Street and the Town Hall were the main venues for the four-hour festival.

A stop-gap between the biennial Lancashire Encounter the showcase event was a torchlight procession from Winckley Square to the Flag Market.
The giant stopped traffic and made eyes grow big as it made its way around the city centre.
