New bus service for Cottam to Preston city centre

Preston Bus has introduced a new service between Cottam and the city centre.

The 26 serves Nog Tow, Hoyles Lane, Lea Road and Waterloo Road.

Only operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays the full route and timetable has been confirmed.

The bus firm says sections of the route will be ‘hail and ride’ rather than serving bus stops. These are marked with an asterix below.

Outbound route:
Preston Bus Station – Tithe Barn Street, Lord Street, Lancaster Road, Ring Way, Friargate, Fylde road, Tulketh Brow, *Waterloo Road, Blackpool Road, Lea Road, *Hoyles Lane, *Tabley Lane, Nog Tow.

Inbound Route: Nog Tow, *Tabley Lane, *Hoyles Lane, Lea Road, Blackpool Road, Tulketh Road, *Beech Grove, *Waterloo Road, Tulketh Brow, Fylde Road, Friargate, Ring Way, Tithebarn Street, Carlisle Street, Preston Bus Station.

The service will operate between 9.30am and 2.25pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
