A man was arrested after a dramatic chase in Preston City Centre this morning (September 9).
AdvertisementWord from our reporter at the scene indicates that one male was seen running down Market Street away from several police officers.
The male entered an abandoned unit with officers entering the building after him.

Support arrived in the form of two police vans and multiple cars.
The incident a man chased by police when a diamond ring was snatched from McGowens Jewellers in the Fishergate Centre.
Police eventually located the man in the former Post Office building in Market Street. He was found hiding within the building.
Several officers entered the building with batons drawn and emerged with the man restrained at around 11.51am.
The man was put into the police van which left the scene at around 11.55am. The rest of the officers in attendance left soon after.
