Investigation launched after car fire in Fulwood

Fire crews were called to the scene of a car fire in Fulwood last night (September 11).

The incident occurred in Royal Avenue at around 10.59pm.

An abandoned car was on fire and crews used one hose reel to extinguish it.

Lancashire Police and Lancashire Fire & Rescue are now investigating the incident.

A statement from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “One fire engine from Fulwood attended a fire involving a car which had been abandoned on a road in Fulwood.

“Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and there is now a joint police and fire investigation.”
