It will then follow back through Miller Park, up the large hill before crossing Winckley Square and finishing at the Flag Market.

The 10k, like previous years, will go into Avenham Park, and down to London Road before crossing the bridge.

It will then come back along the River Ribble, loop back down the Old Tram Bridge and follow the rest of the 5k route.

What time does it start?

The 10k Run will kick start at 9am, followed by the 5k Fun Run at 10am and finally by the 2K Run/Walk at 1pm.

How do you register?

Registration for the 10k and 5k races will be available on the day from 8am at the Covered Market.

For registration you will need your email confirmation or payment receipt when collecting your race pack to ensure swift collection process, and there will be an enquiry desk if you have any problems or questions.

There will also be a supply of pins to attach your running number to the front of your running top.

Can you wear headphones?

You can wear headphones, but Run Preston advises that you do not wear iPods and similar devices whilst running to avoid mishearing marshals and enabling fellow runners to communicate with you if necessary.

Will there be refreshments and race aid?

Water bottles will be handed out along the route and the 10k has a water station located halfway.
