Appeal to trace driver in suspected hit and run in Skeffington Road

Police are appealing to trace the driver of a Range Rover after a collision in the St Matthews area.

Preston Police were called to reports a woman had been hurt during the incident on Saturday (2 September).

A woman was hurt in the collision with the black Range Rover close to the junction with Maitland Street in Skeffington Road.

The driver of the Range Range is said to have made off from the scene – he had stopped to check the woman’s condition before leaving the collision site.

The woman involved suffered minor injuries to her leg, hip, knee and wrist and later went to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

The incident took place aroiund 12.40pm.
