Woman in hospital after Ringway crash

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash in Preston city centre.

Preston Police have shut Ringway, near the junction with North Road, following the collision.

A female pedestrian, 49, was hurt during the incident with a car.

She has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. She has serious head injuries and remains in a stable condition as of Thursday morning.

Police say they were called around 1pm on Wednesday (2 August).

A car stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made at this stage.
