Ribbleton stabbing victim has been released from hospital

The victim of a stabbing in Ribbleton has been released from hospital.

A man was found with a stab wound in his leg at around 2.30pm yesterday (August 9).

Police cordoned off a number of houses in Longridge Road following the incident.

No arrests have been made but police say that enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of an assault in Longridge Road.

“A man was found at the scene with stab wounds to his leg.

“Emergency services attended and the man has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital.”

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log number 0779 of August 9.
